Everyone needs to know the cost and here at Marinette Dream Cruises we try and provide you with in depth cost breakdowns so you can plan and budget you next Cruise or Vacation trip. With many custom charter yachts around the world you will be hit with extra cost of operations at the end of your cruise. Here at MDC it is a general rule that we do not have any hidden or unknown cost which you will be surprised with at the end of your cruise.
The follow are our 2010 standard rates:
- Rates for a charter are $130.00 per hour for up to 6 passengers, and with a minimum 3 hours charter time.
- There is a $20.00 per hour additional charge for each extra passenger up to a maximum of 10 adults.
- All charters require a 25% deposit at least 1 week prior to the cruise and full payment the day of and before departure.
- The $130.00 hourly rate is set for up to an 11 hour cruise anything more becomes a half day rate (see below).
- 12 hour cruises are 1/2 day cruises and are billed at a flat rate of $1300.00, which is the same as 10 hour rate, so if you get close to ten hours you should plan for 12. Its a good deal.
- Once you reach 24 hours it becomes a whole day, at a rate of $1,800.00 per day. You should note that multiple day charters must include a minimum of 10 hours of down-time (rest) for your Captain. If your charter schedule requires operating the boat more than 14 hours in any one day your charter will require two (2) captains and will have an additional cost of $400.00 per day.
Other cost:
- On charters less than a whole day we do not plan or include meals on our trips. However we do have drink setups and snackable foods on the boat and you are welcome to bring your own drinks and food aboard. Also during the planning phase we will work with you to plan restaurant stops at your favorite places of interest, and all of this for no additional charge.
- On our whole and multi day charters we do provide breakfast and lunch on the trips when we are not in a port of call. Dinner is generally planed to be at a point of destination and you are on your own for those dinners although many locations give our client special pricing.
- In some cases you may have the need for ground transportation like a cab into town, helicopter site seeing rides, or carriage rides into a downtown city like Cincinnati or other destinations. In these cases we will have contact numbers on hand and your cruise hostest will be ready to help you as needed.
- On several of our hourly cruises guest have requested entertainment onboard. Everything from Karaoke, Music DJ’s, and even Hypnotist have been onboard our boats. We have many contacts in the entertainment industry and often can help get a good deal on the cost, however the cost for the entertainment falls on you and will be handled between you and the entertainers.
- The only other additional cost is if for some reason you decide that it is necessary for the Captain to operate the boat above the normal efficiency speed then a fuel surcharge will be levied at a rate of $1.50 per mile.
Pre-planning multi day cruises is an important part of having a great cruise. Each day will be planed in whole or half day segments.
