Madison Regatta
2011
This is video taken from within the race course all three days of the
Indiana H-1 Governors Cup
Hydroplane Races. There is some very good HD video
along with a few of our hundreds of
HQ stills.
However all of this is tainted by the
Heat 3 crash involving the U-21
Miss Lakeridge Paving driven by
Brian Perkins and one of our
Safety and Rescue Boats "The Barge". We are of course very happy to say that Brian was only slightly injured in the crash
however Angie Greenwell, Mike Brand and Chris Cutshall all were onboard the
Safety / Rescue vessel suffered serious
and life threating injuries!
This crew were all veteran rescue
workers dating as far back as 1986
with the regatta and each are very dedicated
individules.
At this time two of the crew are still
in a Louisville KY Trauma Center and
we wish them and their families our
best. All of these rescue workers donate
their time and for that there has been
a relief fund set up for all of them.
If you would like to donate to this fund
to cover their growing medical cost
please do so!
Send Donations to:

Mike, Angie, and Chris we all love you
and are praying for you...... |

River Tour on April 29th, 2011 |
In April 2011 it started raining and it did not stop. The river saw itself go above and below flood stage 5 times. Yearly events have been moved, rescheduled or canceled. Even Thunder Over Louisville was a washout for boaters. With all this rain impacting the shore even several of our shows have been rescheduled for later taping times. Because Mother nature has deemed we see a lot of water, here is another show about her treatment of our area.
On April 29th RiverFlow took our cameras out onto the river for a tour of the flood with our good friend Lawrence Glaser at the helm of a trusty Starcraft we launched from the parking lot of Ramada Inn on Zorn Ave. We literally motored up River Road to Turners where we could head across towards the open river. There is very little commentary to this show just video for you to watch.

Tammy interviews Jim StClair, TrueCourse Instructor and Captain
Jim StClairs fascination with being on the water spans three decades as a sports fisherman, but in recent years he has taken a more deliberate track by teaching boating safety courses for both the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the state of Maryland.
Jim is active in teaching Maryland Boating Safety at local community colleges, marinas on the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland regional parks, and at boating centers such as West Marine in the Washington D.C. area for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Police in Annapolis, Maryland.
Jim holds a current near costal OUPV (6-Pac) marine Captain’s license and is quite active with boating both on the Chesapeake Bay and in the Florida Keys. He is also an active member of the Chesapeake Area Professional Captain’s Association (CAPCA), and currently lives in Washington D.C. where he is very active in patrolling on the Chesapeake Bay for the United States Coast Guard. Any leisure time is spent on his back country boat fishing in the Florida Keys. |

Back again on Sunday March 12, 2011 as Tammy continues her interviews with the new OUPV Captains. It should be noted the party could not going on to long because many of the new captains are continuing on next week studying and learning how to take the test for their Master License. But for now it is time kick back with family, friends and Tammy to talk about all things boating. Where do they boat, what kind of boating do they do, are they in the marine business, and generally what they are about and why they love the water?
